It is really simple, and you don't need any special tools to make it
Suspension disassembled.

Some progress over last few days on the hull.
First, I finished adding all the small details I wanted.
Then, the model was primed with automotive primer-filler, a can of which I somehow stuffed up, and it stopped working.
So, I switched to Mr. Hobby's Mr Surfacer 500 primer and airbrushed it.
After the last round of sanding, the model was coated with black primer, and preshading was dry-brushed.

Dry-brushed preshading was the experiment, and I would say that on large models, it isn't worth the effort.
It doesn't work on multicolor camo and can be easily done as post-shading with an airbrush or drybrush.

Yes, you're right. I'm only interested in 1/10 scale, so I forgot who did it.
He's got RENAULT R35, which I really want in my collection, but not ready for downscaling it to 1/10 yet.
I'm thinking about designing Hotchkiss H39 in 1/10 next year myself.

Hi Daniel, I love to glue plastic parts together, but the model actually doesn't require much of gluing and some good CA glue would be enough. Just follow the assembly manual.

If you want to be serious and glue everything together, you need to look for a mixture of METHYLENE CHLORIDE (Dichloromethane) > 60% and TRICHLOROETHYLENE < 10%, or Cyclohexanone (instead of TRICHLOROETHYLENE, approx. 50/50 mixture with Dichloromethane).
It can be found in products like uPVC Clear Solvent Cement, plumbers use it for joining uPVC pipes. Check what products you got in local stores, and google for safety data sheets, which have information about ingredients. It is the cheapest option for plastic glue.

Also, please note, it is quite toxic mixture, so you need well well-ventilated place, a painting mask, and gloves.

Yeah, I know, and I got this model, even partially printed it. Unfortunately, it is inaccurate both in overall shape and in the details to the stage that it is easier to model it from scratch than to modify it.

Yes, the Somua model would be great, but I don't have any information about it. With Hotchkiss, I've got plenty of information to model it.

I use this stuff for PETG, ABS, and ASA, but it doesn't work well on the Bambu PETG HF (high flow) as that is chemically different than regular PETG.

Or Weld-On 16 with MEK is even better for ABS and ASA plastics. I'm just not sure if it's widely available outside the US. TO have it in NZ, I need to order it online, so I'm using Australian analogs of it (which are only produced and available in Australia and NZ).

Interesting about Bambu PETG HF, I haven't tried it yet, but MEK with 20-40% TETRAHYDROFURAN (dissolves PETG) was working well on ordinary Bambu PETG.
Interestingly, the same mixture of MEK and tetrahydrofuran had no effect on eSun PETG.
