King Tiger in process
Re: King Tiger in process
Here's the painted version - much better I believe. I am waiting on a few bits in the mail and then I can consider it done. It's been a fun project and it is a hoot to drive and shoot!!

Do you have a link of those stencils? Looks great!Max-U52 wrote:Have you thought about stencils? I did these numbers with stencils and an airbrush, and while they're a bit more difficult on zim, if you use a light touch and a couple light coats you can get a good effect.
I've even got video of the process if you want to try stencils. You can get them on ebay for about 10 or 15 bucks.

Here's a link to a set of stencils, Rad, but if you shop around you might find them for less.

Thanks Carl - I am much happier with it now.
Max - I ordered some stencils from your link - they didn't have a "G" model stencils so I emailed them.
Thanks all,
Steve

I think you'll like them, but make sure to watch the instructional video. I think they tell you where to find it with the stencils but if not I think a search for montex instruction video might work. I know they have a tutorial at their website.Norton1 wrote:Thanks Carl - I am much happier with it now.

After looking at my G model Panther the stencils for the Tiger 1 will work on it also. So 1 stencil to do 2 tanks. Thanks for the link.

Well not quite finished. I added an ibu2 pro to the tank, really spiffed up the sounds and performance! Then I decided I needed to paint the commander, add some boxes, netting, chain, and shells. The shells I was trying to figure out how to do them when it dawned on me that my 22 Hornet shells were awfully close so I added them. They really look pretty good I think.
