Out of interest where did you get your periscopes and details of the drivers hatch inners? To my eye they look more complete that the shapeways one should I got for my firefly.

Tom,
I built the hatch interiors and periscope details out of left over brass bits and frames from Mikes Tiger build. The 'leather' pads are just self stick dots cut to size. They will be painted later on. The metal periscope bodies came on the TD from MATO. I just dropped in the lens and added the brass. The guards were replaced with Schumo parts.

Friday past, the mail brought some of the interior pieces for the turret. Today, in anticipation of more inner wall turret detail work, I finished up the gun breech ( as much having it work normally would allow )

Mr. Herman,
Thank you, Sir. With a little more added detail and the right paint, the turret interior should look good to the 'passing glance' Best that I can hope for this time around.

Dr. John,
It's pretty funny considering that MATO didn't want to sell me the wiring kit nor the upper for fear that I would hork it up and blame them. *chuckles* I spent the day building some of the components of the turret to semblance ( that's all that I am prepared to give them. ;o) I hope the Olive Drab then some detail paint brings out the luster of a few days hard work. Tomorrow, more scratched up fun in the form of a turret ring lock and some seating. Pics:
