Another installment of "Brass" (I loved that show !)

Used .793mm X 2.38mm (1/32 X 3/32 in old money)brass flat bar for the uprights that support the fan armour plates.
C.A'd a tube under each plate, drilled a 1mm hole in the end of the flat bar & once cut, filed to get the datums even.
Set each piece in the sturdy grip of wide flat pliers & folded acordingly.
14mm OA for the low fan, 18mm OA for the crew heater fan.
Cut off the now invaluable dress making pins short to be used as hinge pins.
CA down the tubes & each pin and mount secured.
Sounds easy when you say it fast !! :/
Cut the head off a pin & drilled a hole for the forward mount on each plate. Once the CA gel glue has set on all mounts I can set the front one on each plate.
These plates will hinge over...................."for no bloody reason whatsoever" (thanks wife for highlighting that :/ )but I will feel good about it :eh:
Once all the episodes of 'Brass' are done, I will set about the skirts & mystery mounts. 8O

Thanks Mr Dietrich.
Its coming together, but is a mission

Just got the front uprights on for the fan armour. Drilled a 1mm hole into the plate , cut the head off a dress making pin & glued it into place.
Used blue tack to stick the upright to the plate, applied glue to the foot & swung the plate over & into position.
That way the pin head lines up correctly with the upright.
Once the glue all sets I will prime the mesh & brass so I can secure the hard armour & put all the welds in.(not looking forward to that I can tell yas)

Spare track link holders-hull rear..............1 down, 11 to go :'( ...........why ?.........WHY ??!!!! :/

Got the stiffener on the storage tube though. Simple & effective. Brass angle & a file to clear the existing mounting rings.
For what it needs to be, using the H/L tube with a bit of lipstick on it will be fine.
