I needed to find out where I was with this build.... so first impressions... PRIMER

Image

Did a heavy texture on the rotor cover...it seems to match the exaggerated texture on the FoV hull

Image

I just wanted to see how well the gunners hatch was covered up... looks ok to me... the rear wasn't painted as I still have to add the two antenna thingies

Well she's starting to look the part.... the areas not painted still need attention.... the gun elevation gave me a few problems.... because i made the mount more precise last night....found it was binding on the rotation ring... so I ground out everything that was in the way... now it works ok...also replaced the headlight... it still need some treatments ...reason it isn't painted

Alpha,
I am liking what I'm seeing a lot! ;o) The time you have put into this build really shows. It is going to amazing fully detailed and painted. What Olive Drab did you use? It is radically different from the H.L. version of O.D. and looks much more like the Saunders Sherman.

Hey Painless... Just by luck... turns out this version of the SHERMAN doesn't have as many details as yours...only a few more do dads here and there and she's ready for paint and play :D ...of course there is the issue of the commander lol

I found this odd brand of paint...when I could no longer get Tamiya paints...olive is not on their list of colors oddly enough... this one is called English ivy green....Personally I like the color... it reminds me of the shade of olive that testors used to make..but much cheaper ... and more user friendly...meaning you can handle the tank less than 24 hrs afterwards ....no way that would happen with testors... as I've found the paint will either rub off because of the oil in your body or just stick ...so far I've had good results with this... though unlike you all I do my paint by brush...as you can see I can control the texture of the paint ... this I explained to you early in your build

Anyway... I'm glad I finally got some color on her... it really gives me an idea of how and where I am on the build...and right now... the light at the end of the tunnel is near ;) ..................

Thanks for the support Painless ... you've always been there...and your critiques are always welcome :D

Thanks canned... coming from someone who has built so many so fast.... I am truly flattered .... I think :haha:

She is the hefty gal... I now think I can remove a track link per side... as it seems the suspension springs have worn a little :haha:
