Sure mate, business accumen is not a real strong point, I feel it may need some work ;)

Those wooden handles are bloody good Mr Zuul, adds another level of detail that is something to behold

I've not been good at posting on others' blogs whilst away - just wanted to say how much I am impressed by your work Sov - especially on those tools.

Although I am not going to use most of the lovely Voyager brass on this build I am probably going to go for building the rear mudguards so I'm very grateful for your dry run (and Blimps) on the solder paint...

I've got something else to kick up the detail level on those mud and track guards as well...

So I've just revived the biggest parts order I've made recently. I've got about 90% of the stuff I've ordered now and will update after work today if I can.

Unfortunately I've switched projects for a few days post-vacation, getting my old 1997 Dodge Neon running and cleaned for sale. Why do rodents love car airboxes so much? What a mess... I may get stuck dealing with it today as I have the last two days as well.

All my new bits!

This should really kick the detail level to the extreme!

Image

Let's see if I can list it all...

Voyager engine grill covers, the Heng Long versions were bothering me, these are more accurate.

Some resin armored exhaust covers with pilze and they bolt onto the body rather than glue!

Big order of scale hardware, some surprises ahead with that stuff!

Schumo headlights, AA gun mount, mg34, tow loops, and damn were they expensive but spare track link mounts on the turret.

Aber tow rope kits for real tow ropes, not the cheap heng long style version but super fine detail here. Also aber machine gun barrel, more detail than the schumo barrel.

High quality track links for the spare turret links. Nice pistol port with brass screws, armor transmission covers with the same...

Some super fine chain... and some bearings for the gear box axle.

That marks almost everything I need (or can buy) for the best small details.

Here's one more special item I fell in love with.... 1/16th brass cartridges! Some fired, some not. The fired brass actually has holes in the end of the cartridge, amazing mold quality.

They are soooo tiny!

I've got a bit more on the way, hull machine gun barrel, mg34 ammo belts, that's about it if I recall.

No work tonight though, going to go pick up a 440 Big Block for one of my car projects in an hour.

Wow! Looks like you've found Red Rackham's Treasure... OK, so you had to pay for it!

Yes, those Schumo track hangers are pricey - my set was the cheaper one from Tank Zone (no maker's name), which is almost as good for a lot less. Sadly they don't seem to stock it any more.

As for the track links I am about to break up my set of Kenny Kong tracks for my spares. So let me know if you need any more for the front of the hull.

Red Rackham's treasure, I admit I had to look that one up, lol.

It was a tough buy at those prices but those track hangars are better in real life than any picture on the net can show. The difference between the old cheap ones I have and the new Schumo is legendary. Tank Zone, I've never ordered from there but I feel iffy doing so with all the bad reviews they get. I saw those on there much cheaper but was dissuaded by all the bad press about the site. I'm glad you got them while you could though!

The only thing I swore I wouldn't buy are the Schumo tow cable mounts. The price is absurd.

I think I can achieve an equally high quality look with a bit more elbow grease using the Voyager Brass and some scale hardware and plastic-card.

As for the track, I should have more than I need. I've already pinned and blued a section of Impact links for the front of the spare track mount and the new links are also impact to be used with the turret mounts. Thanks for offering, I know Kenny makes some really nice tracks too!
