continuing using the my original searches led me to some other search titles and after clicking onto a few pictures, following links.......
here is a picture of one of the kinds of houses i wouldn't mind building a few of
http://www.featurepics.com/online/Old-S ... 17502.aspx
as i could make some minor surface detail changes and would end up with completely different looking house. such as if i were to take the white painted surface and replace it with stone (block stone, river rock) or logs and that would give 3 building. i could also change the detail on the second floor (somewhat) as well as roofing material (thatch, cedar shingle) and get a few more variants. i could even make the second floor overhang the first by a foot or so on all 4 sides giving me another handful of variants.
the problem being, i'd like to find info on the house such as dimensions that i can work with and alter.
here is another picture
http://www.featurepics.com/online/Small ... 53711.aspx that if i had info on would be usefull as i could do similar things such as what i stated above. on this i could had a different roof shape (i don't know what it's called, butrather than a single side slope, it whould have 2 angles to the roof). i could also make the doors bigger and/or make it a rolling/sliding door rather than hinged
this page is still loading for me, but the old house they show on the main page (maybe i should call it a cottage?) is also of interest
http://european-old-world-house-plans.o ... use-plans/ i'll look further into this site in a bit
if anyone following this thread is near any older houses or cottages i'd like to hear from you as you might have what i'm looking for
....... i hear Falling Skys on the TV, so i have to go for now........
