I think the easiest way would be to move the battery into the hull. This might limit the amount of cables.
What is inside the hull? Motors with gearboxes, loudspeaker and...?

I will be able to replace the turret but keep in mind that I'm not a proffesional :)

Hello everybody,
After a long pause I'm back - in fact I got back from a 3-month business trip before the Christmas, but well - there was nothing to report after such a long absence :(
Now I can show you what I was able do build despite the multidude of other task waiting for me at home.
I added some details to the turret and painted it to check if everything goes fine. Of course it doesn't - so I'll have to fix a few fake welds :)

My travel was for me also an opportunity to "upgreade" this project a little. There are several items in my drawer which will for sure make it more interesting - FPV equipment and automatic pilot (Ardupilot) :)
If I'm lucky (and smart) enough I'll have a real HUD...

This is a great build, been tracking your progress keenly. I too would like to have a 2A4 in the stables, what's your secret? Eastern Front and I need to know. Have you checked out the pics I posted of our 2A4's?

Great build dude...

Hi,
Great thanks for the photos :)
I made CAD drawings for this model mysef - basing on carton model (FlyModel Leopard 2A4), plastic 1:35 scale model and photos. Some dimensions I took from drawings which I bought on ebay. So finally there is no chance that my model is accurate :) But for me - it's close enoug (especially that I have never seen the real Leo).

Recently I got a brilliant idea and I decided to share my plans for free.
One of colleagues already started his HIPS-based build, and you will find his progress here:
And mine:

I guess polish is not very popular language, but Google Chrome may help and you will also find a few interesting photos there.

At this moment files modified by Slawek are available on polish forum in the location:

And if anyone wants to use my non-modified version please PM me (english, french and polisch accepted :) ).

Another few steps made - Leo partially lost the beautiful red colour - most of the surfaces have been painted with base green.

I added mechanism wchich lets avoid hitting the deck with the barrel when turning the turret:

Turret wiring is not finished yet so voila - only photos for now. But it looks like it's a big chance it will work as planned:

And I started mounting the turret electonics - APM2.5 with "HUD" - minimosd, telemetry 3DR and FPV set:

Which today was concluded by a succesfull "test run" :)

There are still a few tweaks to be made - like HUD setup and moving the camera a bit forward.
I think that at the end I'll be able to run this model without RC set using a USB joystick (or two) and keyboard :)
