More metal upgrade parts for the rear mudflaps.
Image
Had to adjust the shape of the left one a bit so the rear tool box can open all the way.

Coat of primer to the rear bulkhead, and fixed mudflaps in place.

Replaced supplied screws with 2mm brass nuts and bolts.

Tomorrow I will re-fit the tool box and spare track parts, then get a top coat on.

Well, eventually got there, think this must be the most time spent on a rear bulkhead in the history of model tanking :haha:
Image
I have fitted working LED lights (well, they will work when they are wired up).
Image
Spare track parts stowed in place.
Image
Working rear tool box and illuminated convoy marker (went with green LED in the end).

I need a rest after all that. :haha:

hi Sparks,

afraid not, l bought a 1977 Leo which is a bit of a wreck, most of the cosmetic parts are missing, especially from the back panel.

Andy from Cheltenham has very kindly gifted me some parts but l`m still short of some, like tool box, lower part of gun sight stabliser?

Few parts for the upper hull, also the brackets? the smoke discharger's sit on, side skirts....oooo lots of bits :haha:

Probably more of what l don`t need :D

l have a wanted ad in the wanted section, has pics, so you`ll see what l mean. l`m trying to keep it as original as possible

Cheers

Karl

Still waiting for some upgrade suspension parts fro AFV so decided to have a go with the rubber/photo etch front fender kit.
Here is a pic of the kit PE sheet and rubber parts.
Image
Got carried away making the hinges and forgot to take any build progress pics :/
So fast forward to the finished item.
Image
Image
I wanted to mount them as per this photo of a Leopard at Bovington.
Image
But when the hinges were fixed to the rubber fenders I couldn't get them to close flat enough :-< so had to cut some more from the kit and mount them across the top edge :/
Image
Image
Kit side skirts in place just to align the rubber but I will be doing fully hinged side skirts (still waiting for parts for that too ) :/
Hope to have more to show soon.
