Re: Dragon 1/6 RC Kubelwagen re-build
Here are the back seats . I'm not convinced the back folds down but I have made my one so it does , although the hinge method is a little different to the original. All the pictures of reproduction back seat frames that I have seen have had no springs just struts . Probably to stop stuff in the ammo compartment pushing into the seat back ? . The bench is fixed down but I made it removable and more springs that's 42 now ! I altered the fixing points for the bench seat so that it could be removable and not fixed to the top half.

Re: Dragon 1/6 RC Kubelwagen re-build
Here is the altered windscreen , Ive made it narrower by cutting down one side close to the up right then renmoved a strip of the screen. And finaly re attached the upright. Im going to replace the two top pins and the wipers seam ok , but I might re make them. I have replaced the mounting points as I removed to much . The screen now sits on the bungs and clears the spare wheel. There is still a gap but looking into that next . I also need to add the butterfly fixing points. Its not perfect but better than the stock one . One my next Kubel i might make a replacement screen rather than altering the stock one . I have also filled the gaps in the frame (more to do).

Here is the fuel cap . The original had a lip around it and not just stuck on like the Dragon one. Ive got to add the rubber part and chain yet. Also I have drilled out the cross members that the spare tyre sits on as these were hollow .

I have added one wiper motor as it was missing and put a little detail onto them . I need to fit the cables yet and butterfly nuts to hold the windscreen in place.

Re: Dragon 1/6 RC Kubelwagen re-build
I think swapping the tyers is a no go . I have that new Kubel book now I like the fadded pictures of the early DAK kubels some vertually panzer grey .More to come but slowly I'm afraid . I have made the DAK style cover for the front tyre , screen next . And started fitting the electronics for the working lights . I'm running this independent from the main battery with a simple on and off switch . Here is the figure that came with the Kubel originally in para uniform now of to a slightly warmer climate. Still needs some more bits all what he has is from the DID 'Luca' figure . This is the early war stuff so the Kubel will match this . The helmet is a standard one I re painted and added a home made leather chin strap , the MP40 Ive converted back to the early version just not filled the safety slot .

Re: Dragon 1/6 RC Kubelwagen re-build
I have made the canvas cover for the spare wheel . These were often seen on DAK Kubels as the sun could deteriorate the rubber tyre. I made it from the same material as the seats but put a lighter piece on top .
