Jeff, Masking tape over masking fluid will almost pull it away when removed. You could also try blu tack for hard edge cam masking. But I prefer masking fluid as it can be easily painted on with a brush.

I've managed to add a little more weathering this weekend. I fnished off all the chips and scratchs and applied several washes of burnt umber and lamp black oils.

Next I applied the odd pin wash of raw umber to suggest rust, the areas of rust streaking down vertical surfaces were applied by dabing a tiny dab of paint and subsequently drawn with a size 0 brush.

Next on the to do list is the wheels and then seal it all in with a couple of coats of future floor polish and then matt varnish

Tatty enough now me thinks, I was going to add a dusting of some pigments but I think will leave the weathering process at that.

OMG!
If I had seen that before I bought my Panzer IV I would have walked away an never shown my face again.
I will never be able to do anything like that!

Thats Brilliant.........................................Maybe the afrika Korps didn't treat their tanks so rough so I can keep the paint work looking like it just came out the showroom!
