Cheers Dog.
Tony, it looks much better 'in the flesh'. My camera is crap.
I'll be bringing it along next time I'm at the club, it should be close to finished by then, ha ha

I like the way you are weathering it. Gives it a natural look. It will be first class when done. I hope by that time you will have a better camera or a newer phone.

Nice work John. Looks very like this pic of the Bovington PzIV (before they re-painted it that is :-\).

The task this morning was to try and make certain areas of the tank look as though the paint had been worn or chipped off right down to the bare metal. To do this I took a pencil, some sandpaper and a cotton wool bud. I rubbed the pencil on the sand paper until there was a nice little pile of graphite. Dipped the cotton wool bud into the graphite and rubbed it onto the areas that I wanted to look like metal. The areas around access hatches, the tools, and the gun got the full treatment. The tank now looks like it's ready for the scrap heap, but not to worry, The weathering will cover quite a bit of the wear and tear I've created and make it look fit for battle.

Hi All,
Made a start on the weathering this morning. I'm using the tamiya sand and mud weathering set.
Cheers

Thanks Tony,
The metal hatches arrived this morning. They are excellent, well worth the money.
Need to get them painted and fitted, then I'll be looking for a crew.
Cheers
John
