I am using the charger that I use for my RC boats and am cycling the battery pack prior to use.
Cheers

Re: Heng Long Tiger Question.
That time was based on the HL charger. Your other charger could be different.
1700mah divide by charger mA will give you an answer in hours
i.e. HL charger is 400mA
1700 / 400 = 4.25 = 4 hours 15 minutes.
Hope that helps.

Re: Heng Long Tiger Question.
Thanks Ian
The charger I use has delta peak detection for NiCad and NiMh cells. To cycle packs I use a 0.5 amp discharge and 1 amp charge cycle. The charger can charge at up to 6 amps but i have never used it at the higher rates.
While it is not really necessary to have a sophisticated charger for model tank use I also run fast electric model boats and care of the LiPo cells used requires the use of a charger capable of balancing a LiPo pack.
Here is a link to the charger: http://www.skyrc.com/index.php?route=pr ... duct_id=15. It is not too expensive and a really handy bit of kit.
My grandson and I have just run the Tiger for the first time - we used a 5000mah NiMh pack i use in a model boat. Anyway - the tank works as it should and my grandson is delighted with it.
I am thinking of buying another tank to detail over the coming months.
Cheers
