Should be a very unique tank when completed, Brave man to take a tank and just go for it. Well done sir.
By the way which vender did you order the 3/1 AND 400 Series motors from?

thanks...i have the kit. I used it to get the wheel spacing and armor angles. I am thinking about modding some tiger 1 rear fenders to make the front fenders....That pic really shows the 60 degree armor angles in the front.

phil at rctankwars.....I am just getting into this hobby but he has been a great help so far.
OK now, I spent some more time cleaning up the lower hull. Some green modelers putty and some sanding....then I went over the plates with dremmel and a grinding head set on slow speed to try to get some texture like rolled armor plate has....
then some suspension....
then painting the kt wheels....I m using rustolem primer red...
and then the wheel.....
If you notice, I spaced out the middle wheels a little because I thought it would improve the looks.
now it time to work on the hull, with a little luck I will get more pics up by monday.

maybe 3 hours...most of the time was spent letting the glues/solvents do their work.....

Well I found a little problem that I would not have figured out unless I did this project today.....but more on that later...
I started the upper hull today....broke out my 1:35 model for refernce....
and pulled out the angle finder.....
shows 30 degrees....thats 60 degrees off 90....tht is a lot different than the kt...
Its showing 37 degrees so thats 53 degrees off 90 so the front armor needs to loose 7 degrees from the front.
and adding around 6mm of plastic gets my 60 degrees......Have you seen the mistake yet?
Next I cut the side plates flat and added some plastic to fill in the gap madeby the new armor angles....
Then it hits me.....On the e50, the front armor covers the side plates
the side plates peak through lower front armor but just a little it for the toe hooks .....so my first stab at making the upper and lower armor are fubar....this is very different than the kt...back to the cutting bords.....

Thats a lot of cutting and making good to be done. Its almost to the point where you might as well scratch build the upper body. That way you can get all the angle right from the start and a whole lot less patching up.
Either way , thats a lot of cutting and patching there you are going to have to do. Best of luck with it.
