If you are using water based paint to spray with. Its not a good idea to start flooding the model with water,There are many methods to achieve this look. E.g salt method. using a small brush with wet paint, dry brush, and ofc your airbrush.
Also you may well get a reaction with your paint using this hairspary. As its a type of glue, to test well with both the paint you are going to use and the clear. Or you may well be re-painting the whole model.

I read the link. I'm just curious how you will do the hairspray technique on your jagdpanther since you already painted the camouflage on. Shouldn't the hairspray (according to the link) be applied to the basecoat first before applying the camo?

The reason I asked is I am also planning to just apply the weathering technique (including paint chipping if possible) to the factory heng long panther G camo.

Thanks.

Just a update on what has been going on with my build. Having been very busy not much has been done for the last few months. I got a little cheesed off with doing the tank after making a Aber cleaning rod barrel, my first time doing such a thing. After that I turned to another model, which has been modified from the standard kit. Guns have been added and new backpack for it. So it has been sat there for a while. I have now started to weather the it only got as far as adding some paint chips, wear marks and some damage. Other than that not much else has been done. But I will continue.
