The way i look at a build is the really hard part is the tracks and suspension. Any fool can slap togather a turret and hull with enough plastic and glue. The tracks on the maus were like 2 feet wider than a tiger tank tracks. The suspension on a maus has 24 wheels on multi link boogies, the really tough stuff on that tank are hard to see. You might look at using some 1:8 scale tiger tank tracks, they would be "close" to the right size....as for the suspension...good luck with that...

from what i read yesterday the maus used king tiger tracks, which sort of makes sence. you dont tool up completely to build a prototype. would be awesome to see two with the rail gun mounted on top where the turret should be, i forget the name of the project. also very cool videos off youtube

this guy found a interesting way to make wider tracks.....I think matomart still has kingtiger plastic tracks for 7 bucks, you might want to look into several pair of those.
