They planned to build a tank for that gun, and wanted to call it the "Maus". It would have had 250mm front armour, (might have been cm) and a crew of 100.

The shell was larger than the Japanese 18.1 inch naval shells fired by Yamato and Musashi battleships,these guns were used in single mountings. Ironically first on the Light battle cruiser Furious,later converted to an aircraft carrier. SCRAPED in 1948/
