Small update. Base coat is on the whole tank now. I also painted on the turret numbers and German crosses. The markings represents one of the PzIIIs in the 504th Schwer Panzer-Abteilung (heavy panzer battalion), before they got all their Tigers in Tunisia and Sicily, they had a few PzIIIs to make a full battalion. Next steps, put the grills and jack block on, paint the tools and machine guns, then it's weathering time! The fun stuff! oh..I also have to fix the external antenna. I'd made it out of plastic styrene before, but it keeps breaking off. I need to make it out of some more robust material, but all the wire I have is too soft and just bends... i'll figure it out eventually.

Great looking tank, I like the little details like the clamps on the tools, light covers and cable to the lights.
When I did my P3 and sprayed if dark yellow it look like it had just rolled of the production line, similar to your pic, in a way I like that look and maybe I will do a model that looks new.
Could save on a lot of weathering as well! Something different to think about.

Very nice work. if you haven't sorted an antenna yet, try guitar string. You can buy them singly from any music shop and the gauge is printed on the packet. I tend to use 4th 5th or 6th strings because the bronze winding usually finishes 5 or 6 inches from the end, leaving the bare steel core exposed. Cut the string to include about an inch of the winding and you have a perfect antenna base too.
