Robert

Only one more question.
The recoil unit has 4 wires coming from it for motor x2 and micro switch x2, these are coloured black/red and red, how are these wired to the CN6 socket which has 3 connectors not 4? I am assuming there is one that is not used?

I wonder if all Hooben units have same colour wires, all of the wires from my units are blck/red and red.

hi subdvr due to me braking the hooben micro switch i swaped the motor and switch for a tamiya one which i had lying around .what i have used befor is a normal servo exstension lead then copide the way a tamiya recoil unit is wired, but you do need to cut the socket down on the mf unit to make it fit . just make sure you have the wires round the wright way round befor trying out.

Thanks Robert, looks complicated though.
Picture of mine below.
When you say cut down the socket on the MF unit, you mean the end pieces that hold the socket from the servo extension?

Im surprised the two blacks and two reds cant be spliced together, obviously the MF is looking for 3 wires and I am guessing the white wire is positive power looped to the motor, with the additional blue coming from where on my switch?

Thanks again for taking the time to strip yours bare to show me, it is appreciated

yes thats right it will be a loose fit when you do it but all i did was to put a bit of blutak or what ever to hold it there and was ok .
