Alan: Have you got any plans for your PzIV, or have you started on it?

Started mate, the bloody thing has been gutted and modified with an aluminium barrel, metal tracks, raise front drive sprocket, lower rear return roller. single piece commanders hatch, remove vision ports on turret side doors, late war exhaust system and other cosmetic upgrades to create the
Panzer IV Frankinstien ( should have left it alone but just went for it instead lol ). I have started a thred in HL builds showing progress up to a couple of months ago. If Santa brings me the recoil unit I want for Crimbo I will finish it off post haste and update the thred. Also have a Panzer III and Tam Tiger 1 to do as well. These will have there own build threds soon. Also upgraded a WSN T 34/85 to HL electronics pictures and blurb soon. Apart from that not much else planed. How about you mate ?

. All the best for now
Alan
PS forgot the custom rear idler adjuster system

Bloody hell, someones been busy.
Not sure what to do with the PzIV yet, leave it as an FI DAK, or go for a later eastern front version.
Still got the PzIII to start and the poor old abrams is being neglected aswell.
Looking forward to your build posts.
Cheers
John

And I look forward to your build posts as well. It would be interesting to see you go down the later Eastern front road with the P IV as there are so many things you can do. As to being busy it's more a case of being daft in my case. If I got held up waiting for bit's on one model I made the mistake of starting another ending up with a battlefield recovery unit rather than any working tanks lol. So I am going to finish what I have started then have a go at the Stug Santa has bought me for Crimbo ( I see metal suspension arm's and dampers metal tracks, metal track tensioner, metal drive and idler wheels, bearing support for drive shafts, fan for the RX 18 and a battle system so far, but the vision goes on. Just a pity the money don't :-X ). All the best for now John and have a good Christmas
Alan

I promised myself the following earlier this year after the leo upgrade:-
1: I wouldn't start a new project until I had all of the parts I needed
2: I wouldn't start a new project until the current one was finished
Here I am now with 2 projects on the go and a new one on the way. The good thing is we are not alone.
Everybody involved in this 'hobby' seems to be the same.
Best Wishes
John

As far as I can tell the PzIV this seller has sent me is the top of the range 'super series' model.
Metal tracks
Metal gearboxes
Metal suspension
Metal drive wheels & idlers
RX18 multifunction main board.
He could have charged me double the asking price of £49.99 and it would still have been a bargain.
John
PS: Hope you get the same version as me Grompix
