Stug, You've just stirred me into action after seeing your cracking little VW. I've just managed to hunt down a kit from a guy " darn sarf ", so hopefully will have it for crimbo. It'll go into the pile with all the other kits to do, should be started some time octoberish 2018.

I was wanting a Kubelwagen, and a Kafer Beetle in Gray European/Eastern Front paint work. I got my wish from a member of this very forum, the Kafer split window Beetle was on the way. Wonderful, I had never had one and it is a kit I have wanted. so when the box arrived imagine my surprise when inside the very large box are both kits, Kubelwagen and Kafer Beetle,
Fainting shock, then fear! Yes fear, scared, worried. I am so grateful for this gift, but the wife thinks I spent more money on another kit.So after the mad face syndrome I realized that this is perfect time to start on the VW. Hell she's peeved so why not go for broke?
I want to thank the member who sent me such a fine gift, now to do it justice seems only fitting, hope my skill will be up to the task.
cheers and Merry Christmas
(Note: To hell with Ba Humbug,Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All.

You're a lucky buggar Sax, I'm still waiting for mine and with the snow disruption here, I won't see it anytime soon. Having said that its a minor thing with all the problems people are facing this Christmas and I thank my blessings I'm luckier than a lot of people. Enjoy your build mate.
