Very nice looking JP. Paint is spot on and I really like your wooden block & C hook texturing - I'll be nicking that idea!

I got the chain from a local craft shop, 5 quid for about three metres. I also brought some mild steel cable, which is a perfect scale for tow gear on German armour. Just cut off the original shackle ends, drill out the centres and glue in the new cable after cutting to size.Much better than the naff supplied ones, which incidently do not accept paint, not even acrillic primer.
