Scale aircraft
Re: Scale aircraft
The Stuka JU87 was available at Hobby Lobby last year, don't remember the company name but it has since disappeared. Thier is a cheap version on one of the off=brand sites but it is junk. The description of the Stuka JU87 from my post is a little misleading, retractable landing gear? Can be RC control and drop a bomb? Cheers Saxondog

Sounds fun but the plane would have to fly pretty low as the sensor wouldnt pick up the signal from too high an angle, and I'm not sure how many people would want a 1/16 prop plane flying around at knee height.
Re: Scale aircraft
The Taylor field guys have a large enough field to test this idea, I agree that low flying RC Aircraft are dangerous. I know this from experience and it did not end well. Still planes have come a long way since then and the llighter electric aircraft may be more controllable at low level slow flight?

Re: Scale aircraft
One of my Favorite aircraft, their is a tank buster version that would be cool in that scale. Thanks for posting but my wife has found out about the 1/200 scale Arizona Battleship I have in lay away at Mid South Hobbies, she threatended to kill me for another model.
If the Stuka showed up it would mean instant death, followed by destruction of my Fleet of 1/350 scale Battleships. But man what a nice airplane, and the detail is excellent. They have a ME109 1/18 at mid south Hobbies but I really prefer the Stuka. Maybe next year I can manage one. Thier are some sheap foam electrics but nothing very detailed,I was hoping Hobby Lobby would come up with one but no as of yet. But the ME109 is on sale for 99.00 and 119.00 Gray or Desert tan. Just checked the ME109 RTF MARKED DOWN TO 129.00 from the regular price of 269.00. Man what a deal, but I would crash it I'm sure, cheers Blake

Re: Scale aircraft
I'm liking the 32" WS foamie! They can be more resilient than the larger/wood models and It would look nice at our Axis airfield. I've started liking many of the electric aircraft's attributes as opposed to nitro.
I've gotten 35~45 minute flight times from some of my electrics and I only landed then because I get tired of standing.

Re: Scale aircraft
Hi Wizzard, their is a green version as well. I started to buy one last year. I am sure the electrics are more fun and less hassle. Sax
