Cheers Pete, so there is one...I should have looked at the pics I took of the Vimoutiers Tiger...the recess is on the top and the bottom so flipping the mantlet makes no difference. Just been looking at my pics, shame that no one has put forward the cash to renovate that tank, not that it could ever run again, but just to make it look as good as it should.

Now moving along, the piccy below shows that i have added a small piece of plastic card too the roof in close weapon, this is only 10thou thick so when flipped the right way there will be a very small gap,as there should be......also made a front vent for the hull as the moulding that Heng Long did is no way big enough
Image
Image
here the in close weapon is the correct way up and you can see a small gap..........
Image
in this pic you can see i have added a plastic circle to where i removed the engine hatch vent.....
Image
here i have replaced the latch retainer ,added the triangle plate and then painted the vent area black as when the vent is added it will not be possible too do.........
Image
the hull weld seam has been done.............
Thats all for now guys ,thanks for looking..........

Here you will see that i have made from brass the wooden jacking block retainers ,and also half a dozen tarp tie downs ,these made from 20thou plastic sheet cut 5mm long 2mm wide , the wire is from old telephone cable which is about half a mil thick and real easy to cut and bend , when fitted the plastic is softened with plastic glue and then the weld bead can be cut in too it, make this fiddly job a lot easier........

thats all for to day lads........

Yep at least one worked ,anyway i have added some of the tarp tie downs , glued the inclose weapon etc on the turret roof, added some of the bead welds and also added a raised section in the middle area where the rear vent was and painted it black so now can add vent itself , the rear latch added, and also the front vent......
pics to follow later.......

Sure Don ,how are doing first, ok i take it these days?.....the plate was just plastic card 30th or something close would do .looked at a lot of pics too make sure it was in the right place ,the small holes drilled were .62 of a mill just over a half mill its a size that i use a lot in my builds ,you have to move the latch and retainer over and place plate there then fill in the water filler as this was deleted in the late tigers .. hopethis of some help if not then pm and i can go into more detail ,heres a few pics that might help take care mate........Fleshy.........
