Ok everyone I am not daft,mistaken or saying Grey Jagdpanther were average. But their are three more Grey's after this base coat, two blacks, one pale white. But for now this Schwarzengrua 39-43 Testors will do, Well that's all my progress so far,taking my time to get it right this time. Just as a side note: cost to strip paint and restart consider 6 bottles of paint x 2 plus the floor polish and varnish. But you will gain new skills,and have some fun learning to paint.

Some overhead views of the ENGINE COMPARTMENT or my Jagdpanther and the real version. This idea of a decal may not work out but it is worth trying,the engine will receive the tubing,pulleys and engine bay walls. The standoff in the rear of my Jagdpanther are not required as magnets will keep upper and lower together.

The over head seems to be a large air intake may require some scaling to reproduce, but even the engine compartment view is a series of rectangle shapes with few details some square shapes and of course the three circle shaped air cleaners.

My Jagdpanther was to be from a unit connected to Grossdeutschland Division, to be specific FGB .Fuhrer Grenadier Division, I found this kit for a Jagdpanther Dec.1944 from Fuhrer grenadier Brigade unit.

This unit becomes FUHRER Grenadier Division on Jan.26th 1945. But the information I have does not support this unit having Jagdpanther's before Feb.1945 . So this puts me back to my Night Fighter Paint Scheme and no reference photo of art other than the earlier posted pictures

3./Pz.Rgt. 101 => 3./Fhr.Pz.Rgt. 2 (Fhr.Gren.Div.) (total = 10)

Gerwyn,I live in Memphis, Tennessee, from June-September we have sunny hot days,111 deg. the max this year. As for my Jagdpanther I have found some more information,and this complicates my color pattern. SAXONDOG

At this point some decisions have to be made about the numbering and unit division markers need to be identified and placement on the tank should follow guidelines, SS and Heer units have some differences.

THIRD COMPANY 1st Vehicle 2nd Vehicle 3rd Vehicle 4th Vehicle 5th Vehicle
First Platoon 311 312 313 314 315
Second Platoon 321 322 323 324 325
Third Platoon 331 332 333 334 335
Fourth Platoon 341 342 343 344 345
Company command vehicles would have a second digit of 0 to indicate headquarters.

Battalion command vehicles would have a Roman numeral designating the battalion. The commander of the first battalion of a panzer regiment might thus have tank I 01. The second battalion commander would have II 01, etc. Other officers were designated with higher numbers; in general vehicle 02 designated the executive officer, 03 the signals officer and 04 the ordnance officer of that battalion

I had intended to post the links I use for information about letter and number types, colors and placement. Grossdeutschland division Panzer units having some markers only found on Grossdeutschland Tanks, and considering each tank would have some personal markers from the crew or commander. Many different patterns and colors being used based on the terrain and the time of year. Always dependent on supplies of paint and how it was applied. Sax
