Thanks Mark,

The hull, mantlet, barrel and hatches are all cast resin and manafactured by a guy called Nick Aguilar in the US. They are fantastic quality, and an excellent price for what you get. His hull is more accurate for an M4A1, the Mato one is a later version, you also get the cast texture on his and the sand skirt mounts (though you have to drill the holes yourself. You can contact him here; ndaguilar@grandecom.net

As with all resin parts, they do need preperation. Thye have to be washed with soapy water, and primed very well. And there is some sanding and clean up to do on bits, but nothing major. The recoil was home spun, and the rotor shield for behind the mantlet was procured from a guy on RCU, a member of the DAK group.

Cheers,
Rik

Lol ppl always call me mark when i have that username, its a refernce to zorro film cos my surname is zollo.
I wana use mato top hull as a base to work on, lots of sanding and shaping, and its cheap. Big problem is the mantle but that contact will help, was gona use the tamiya one and reshape a bit.
How the hell do you get all the markings on the ammo boxes and stuff, that just amazes me!!
Cheers,
Dave

Lol, sorry Dave. :{

The markings on the ammo tins and K ration boxes, come from the Tamiya decal set for the Sherman. On the helmets, the straps are painted strips of masking tape, and the chevrons are from the Tamiya decals again.
The shipping details are from the Archer's Fine Transfer 1/35 D-Day Shipping Stencils set.

Anything else you want to know mate, let me know. We always need more Allied armour! ;)

Cheers,
Rik

No worries bud! :D
Im gona have to get me that decal set with the other tam bits then!
I agree with the allied armour bit, things are always dominated by the Tiger, though im one to talk as that was my starting point!
Prob gona start my Sherman build toward end of summer when iv got sum money, its just a fantastic looking tank and has a real sense of 'this is all we got, but it will have to do!' Though mine will never be as good as yours but Il still give it a go!!
Cheers,
Dave
