flat panzer grey with large crosses on turret sides hull front and rear the unit markings were yellow i think i havent got as far as painting yet im still working on the modeling part

I opted for the fender mount as the front armoured ring mount sits right on top of the upper hull mount on a h/L and i dont feel confident enough to take that on yet

The New Vanguard book I mentioned in the post on the "Wandering Hatch" shows some good line drawings of the ariel set up. Part of the Russian problems at the start of war and on was not many tanks had radio comm's between the tanks to coordinate attacks, unlike the Germans. Thus the piss poor performance of the Russians even when the KV-1 and 2's showed up which where better than the Panzer 3 and 4's "amour wise better, the transmissions and other issues were bad, they broke down a lot and where abandoned" and started the Tiger program.
