I sorry for the length of my answer, and should add that a heat lamp may be a better source for heat in the UK Climate. But the principle is sound. Hope it helps, cheers Blake

Hi Daisycutter there is another possible fix for those bent hulls. If you can get a length of thick walled ally or brass tubing and some countersunk self tappers. Cut the tubing to required length ( smaller than the width of warped hull ) then drill and countersink a hole in both sides of the hull large enough for the self tappers. Insert tube into place and screw one side. Then pull hull into shape and screw the other side. All you have to do is make sure the position of the internal bracing will not get in the way of or foul any internal components. I would also use the superglue and baking powder method to renforce the inner mounting points. Last of all a bit of filler on the top of the countersunk screws to cover up everything. Not having a KV to check this out on I can't guarentee it will work for you. Best of luck with your hulls what ever method you use.

PS another way to warm up those hulls is to apply heat to the inside of the hull using a hair dryer and bend into shape then dunk into cold water to lock them. This method is a bit tricky as thinner plastic parts can warp first. I put wet cloths on the parts I don't want to heat or distort to try and localise the heat on the parts I want to bend.
