Hi Guys,

I Googled the Korean to English. The model is great visual reference, for sure, and it is a 1/35 Academy M36 kit, as is the gear, plus some ABER PE.

In 2004 I built my first Tamiya 1/16 kit, a Porsche KT into a f/o, TBU runner from a old 1st generation DMD model kit I had build several years before.

As you said, I to did it my way to get what I wanted and learned a lot plus it was great fun. And damn the cost at $920.00, I loved the process. :D

Enjoy your build and thank you for the great M36B1 reference link, John

Hi Jimmy,

I enjoy your build threads. The Porsche KT tempts me to build a newer better version of the one I did six years ago and sold.

One chassis and two turret tops: The M36B1 makes for an agile KT and Stug hunter and you should consider adding one to your motor pool. Plus, Nick's resin parts are pretty easy to work with and fit as they should. Check twice and glue, cut or drill once. Also my kit parts required very little putty work to restore resin surfaces and fitting the elevation unit was the only step that required some material trimming for bottom gear clearance.

Work in Progress Paint & Weathering

Post by Pcomm1 »

Hi,

Again, I most enjoy building backyard Tamiya WWII rc tanks with the Infrared Battle Systems and I did not want to always fight an Axis tank. Though, I didn't want to end up with two Sherman rc tanks, since I had built a "5 hit" Sherman tank. The goal is to build and run a more interesting Sherman 90mm gunned tank destroyer that can better fight the big Axis tanks. LOL.

This build uses a top hull – turret swap out between the M36 TD turret – new top hull and my existing Tamiya Sherman 105mm turret and top hull: like an rc car chassis with 2 different bodies.

Next is to put all the DMD gear back in and run it around the backyard killing Jagdpanthers and the other critters.

Enjoy, John
