Hi Guys Right all points ,he has done some great work ,I wish he could make the Churchill avalible at a good price it looks great ,there dosnt seem to any manufacturer interested in making them (I think there to complicated for mass production)think of all the funnys that could be made from a Churchill .

This guy is on there, and after seeing my vids of my tanks he sent me the links to his. He is one heck of a modeller, as many of you already know. Another member is the editor of Tanks and Trucks magazine, a quality monthly mag that covers a selection of military vehicles each month, and has scale drawings of each one for modellers.

There are lots of translation sites around, but they don't always do an accurate translation. Eg if you typed in 'tank', you would probably get 'reservoir'. Just like English one word can have several different meanings, depending on the context. What this site does is give you a default translation, but also gives alternative translations in brackets, so you will also see that 'char' is shown. 'Char' is the french word for 'tank' in the context that we use.

You may not realise that the English language is actually French, due to the Normandy invasion. All words ending in 'tion' are the same in English and French, we pronounce it 'shun', they pronounce it 'sion'. There are therefore about a thousand words that are the same. Eg Attention, Perfection, Medication etc. Even the French who don't speak English are amazed when I tell them this.

If you ever need to write French and don't know all of the weird accents that go over the letters, just use capitals, as they are not used on capital letters.

There are loads of others that are the same, all that I do is learn the other minor words that join them together and hey presto, I can conduct a conversation.

When you check the Churchill link above, have a look at the vid on the same page called "Amazing Tank Model". It's a clip from BBC's 'Antiques Roadshow' of a hand-carved Churchill and Transporter. If you haven't seen it yet it will blow your socks off! It shows a simply unbelievable level of craftsmanship that makes most of our efforts look like so much cardboard and glue!

The guy that made the Churchill tells me that he is looking at producing a resin and metal kit for RC. I will keep you updated on developments.

A hand-made 1/16 scale tank?amazing?

That GMC cargo truck is exactly what I want to do!! Though I will use one of the Indiana Jones trucks as a base but I need to get one of those Ford/Chevy/GMC trucks of the same era to use the cab.
Thought my idea was origional lol, bloody fantastic work he does though!
