LVT (A) 1 Alligator
Re: LVT (A) 1 Alligator
I forgot to mention, they are metal stug gearboxes and fit quite nicely, took me a while working out how to anchor them, but I built a little platform and screwed and glued it to the hull sides for strength, seems to work. Thanks for your ongoing encouragement Andy your a star

Hi Nick . Still thinking of the suspension . I think Ive made a mistake . The pontoons how low do the sit in comparison to the bottom of the LVT from the drawing you cant see 100% how low the LVT is . I took my measurements from the front curve and rear angle . But I feel my one is to deep. As shouldnt the pontoons sit lower with the LVT main body to allow swing arms for the suspension fit on ? please could you post a picture showing how your pontoons fit on the LVT . Just shows your ahead on this project and leading the way.
Thanks Andy
Thanks Andy

Progress, Work on the running gear is on hold as I think Im going to go with Mato Sherman Tracks and Sprockets ? !
So started on the upper Hull. One thing I hadn't thought of is how its going to float. I suspect its going to sit really high in the water and will need the C of G working out. Battery in the back methinks. Andy the Pontoons sit about 5mm up from the base of the Hull. Thats how I interpreted the drawings and using the Revell model as a reference. This should show you how Ive fitted the Pontoons. That is a 5mm Brass strip Im using as a re-enforcement for the suspension arms when they go on. Hope thats what you needed.

Ok night shifts over and couple of days off to do admin, laundry. vote and crack on with the build. Anticipating the change of running gear main focus is on the top of the Hull, speciffically turret. Here we are so far, had fun making brass hinges, I think I need specs
