hey guys. great to see you all at the meet and nice to meet tankman, fynsdad and fireflykeith for the first time. thanks to paul and matt for making the arrangements, but i can see i shall have to practise my battle skills before the next meet because despite the leo's superior speed, i was still hopeless!

mind you i was also outnumbered. mrs forgebear didn't just spend the day wandering round getting in the way of the battles and shifting stuff, she also took a few pics, but she asked me to point out that she is not up to the standard of the forum's official photographer (BREL) . comments/titles on the photos are hers, so not accurate, but entertaining!

Dave, julie's photo's are as good as the ones I would have taken, had I been at the meet, but due to not having enough anual leave left I could not make the meet, oh well there is always the next on if I can get there.
when did I become the forums oficial photographer LOL

Hi Guys.
Sorry I haven't posted a comment earlier cos I bin a bit bizzy
I have to say that some great characters are hidden behind their forum names on here, and every time I go to a meeting I discover another skilled and friendly tank nut. This meet was no exception, some new faces and lots of new projects to chat about and view. The fotos are terific, but in some cases don't do justice to the time and effort spent on creating a superb working model.
My thanks to everyone that helped me solve some problems, thanks to Fleshy for weathering my Sherman and making me a fantastic aerial for it as well. Thanks also to Septon and his brother for sorting out a new Planet radio transmitter, modifying it for me and installing the reciever in my Sherman.
I cant wait to see what Mr and Mrs Forgebear bring next time....what could possibly beat a superb truck, a loud 4 x 4 monster and a whole pile of Shermans..... roll on next meeting.
Thanks for a great weekend everyone
Mike
