Hi Guys The cemetery at Omaha beach is a very moving place ,but the British one at bayeux is even more moving (Omaha Beach there are no ages on the grave stones)the ages of the men that died is on every headstone all very young men at Bayeux.
VERY moving, cliff. So many young men lost their lives for a country that has forgotten them. The times were different, the majority of these guy's had not lived,or loved in their short time.Farm boys like my dad had only been off the farm a few times as traveling was not as common. How can we forget these guy's,they gave no only their lives but a life as well because they never had the chance to just live and love.Really proud of the way these places are treated, how their graves are respected. Thanks Cliff and Pete for sharing, being an American the few war monuments are in Washington and of course every major city has a MILITARY CEMETERY but to walk the same earth they died on is different and unique. Thanks again for sharing,Sax
