excellent work,would like to know more about casting and thanks for the link.Zimmerite tool seemed to work very well and the boogies seem very well made and detailed,cheers Blake

Thanks chaps. I really appreciate your feedback. Next up is painting the beast and then I will have caught up with myself as-it-were. After that I need to put on markings, add tools and cables and then fit the combat system in place. Oh - and then final weathering - and maybe some crew figures - Jeez these things go on forever!

Hi Xrad. It's the all-plastic barrel from the early (1980ish I think) clutch drive Tamiya KT kit. I replaced the prominent recoil cylinder with a cut-down old marker pen and sanded everything flush.

What an epic build, but it's going to be well worth it. As to those "spare" cast wheels why no go the whole hog and build a Jagdtiger with Porsche suspension ? . All the best for now

Wow great work man! I like the fact that folk show off how their build progresses here because as a newbie you would never realise just exactly how much detailing goes into some of the tanks and models, its very interesting, thank, Kev.
