Another great looking Sherman, nice work :thumbup: and i have to say i have been running my standard Tammy Sherman for over 3 years now and the only problem i have had was the elevation arm slipping, so by far my most reliable tank :D

Keith I replace the elevation arm in my sherman with a schumo one that has a Grub screw in the end to clamp it on to the shaft

The Daryl Turner elevation arm, the original, is my part of choice for all my Tamiya TBU tanks, though both Impact and Schumo offer OK parts.

Important: The metal elevation arm part does not completely address the unit's slipping issue. The metal elevation arms main function is to replaces a Tamiya plastic part that is prone to breaking after a little use.

Both the Tamiya gun elevation unit and the turret rotation unit use the same black clutch gear and that is the part that is the "weak link"!

Also both unit's mount platforms will "loosen up" after some wear and tear and what little positive performance either unit offers will be lost.

The good solutions for using both these Tamiya units, as advised to me several years ago by some of the Danville tanker leadership, is to wrap the motor mount with tie straps; remove, then CA Glue the slipping black clutch gear solid and then reinstall said gear, or replace the trouble some black clutch gear with the Tamiya Solid Blue gear.

I use both methods for slipping clutch gear fixes: CA black gear gluing and or the blue gear part swap out.

Your welcome.

The tip fixes really helped improve my Sherman's and Pershing's turret performance. For the Pershing, they were the only mods I made to it past wheel bearings.

Plus, I like the solution because the tank stays basically Tamiya stock, though using servos and HL parts also solves problems pretty well, but those modifications are just a little bit more difficult to do right and to maintain in a "runner" rc tank.

• Promax-400 Motors and 10 tooth Pinion Gears from rc tank wars (Note: Phil's pinion gears are the press on steel type. I had spare Schumo set screw pinion gears that I used, instead)

I have been working on the Easy 8 105mm off & on for over a year and it was now under powered. Overweight, because of the addition of metal tracks and other modifications the model needed some help, so it would not bog down in tall grass and while climbing any grade.

Phil's RC Tank Wars sent the motors and pinion gears off and I had them in a few of days of placing my order.

The motors work great in my Sherman, modest in cost, out perform the stock 380's and offer better power & torque in my opinion than the Graupner Speed 400 setup, that I run in other Tamiya tanks.
