Yep: from '80 to '84 I lived at 315 West 9th Street, between "Downtown Stoners" and "West Side Longo." I remember police and vice squad raids, including an officer with a gun drawn on a fellow spread eagle over the hood of my wife's car. (My transportation was the bus.)
