I've done the conversion from Early tiger to late using Tamiya King Tiger parts. Back in the day, you could get the metal KT wheels and sprues from Tamiya. I made my own wheel hubs from plastic and used the bronze Tamiya RC car bearings. The commanders cupola was from Tamiya KT. You might be able to find a cheap KT donor tank. Late tracks used to be available to fit the Tam Tiger1.

I’ve done an early to a mid, it’s in the for sale section if you want to see the photos.
A late has a few other details added, like the armoured turret ring, steel wheel etc. You can make the Taigen metal steel wheels fit.
