Mr Bix, my vote gets the StuH 42 . You and Rob 59 are the Stug 3 gurus .Tank Modellbau barrel but remember you will need to drill out the mantlet for that bad boy. John.
But which one !!
Im leaning to the winter StuH as I dont have a StuG a winter one. Its proving impossible to find a period picture of a H-42, in winter camo, with the big brake.
But the summer version with the KV track armour & seemingly pointless sheet metal front cover is also a curiosity.
That big barrel is a non-negotiable thanks to you

Thanks John.
Yes, I like those little ones alot!
One more to go…..the one with Pendelschürzen (swinging skirts).
In the meanwhile I have gathered everything I need to build it, but must finish the Kettenkrad with Goliath first.
So now we just have to wait what Mr.B decides to built….
Rob.

I have done the Pendelschurzen version for myself, and one for a mate.
The early 6 panel schurzen is another option, but Im not that keen to create from dust to make a model even worse to handle
Concrete I have done with imbedded track from actual concrete, and one that was from the resin set, so despite the KV track & sheet metal front cover( :wtf:is that going to do??) being a bit different, I reckon I will do the one covered in sheets....................

Mr Bix ,my vote is the summer version. Brutish ,ugly, and you can see the detail. Some one is bound to say they did not produce some thing so rough as that, so carry a photo on your phone. I know how you love KV1 tracks acting as rebar in your concrete. Is the front plate covered in concrete as well.

By the looks, the lower front is covered in some Kooky sheet metal thing. Seems way too thin to be of any ballistic deterrent, but perhaps its a section of KV-1 that has been cut off & repurposed that looks thinner than it is ?
Just seems a hell of a lot of work for so little protection.
Plus, the idea of a howitzer being exposed so close to the action that it needs so much more protection is a sign of the times methinks

StuH42. Most prolific German tank of the war gets the fewest builds.
Maultier Panzerwerfer gets my next vote. Very unique and nice looking vehicle.
