Finally opened up the Gepard. Nice strong idler support. Clark board. Took the opportunity to disconnect the exhaust smoker, and to smooth out the tubes (toobs) for the cannon smoke, and clipped the gun flash LED’s into place.

Spent a bit of time on this, as I was not happy with it. The cannon smoke was very poor, and the cannon flash barely visible. So took it apart, and investigated. Both the tubes to the cannons were kinked, and the fibre optic in the centre of the gun, was out of position. Now also cut the skirts off. Took a quick running video of it in the garden.

Has anyone already tested whether the Haya Gepard tracks fit the Tamiya drive sprockets?

Yes. I’ve now compared the Haya tracks. No they don’t fit.
