I'm working on the City Class Ironclad from the Civil War - USS DeKalb. It is 1/35 scale with fully working gear. How to have it working next spring. I'll post images as I go.
Cool, will be following this one since I'm an avid Civil War buff. Even have CAD of the City Class which I shared long ago on Paddleducks forum.

. Working in 1/43 scale as it was a better fit for size.

Looking great. I used twin screws for propulsion but don’t tell anybody. Each of my dual rudders uses its own servo. I also have that same book.

Looks great. Is the figure scale? It look tiny in comparison to the paddle box.

Bravo! Your Ironclad in its wooden stage looks very fine, indeed. And to think, you worked it all out from an Osprey book and a box of Honey Nut Cheerios!

I have all the RC parts ordered and getting ready to plan on locations for parts to hide as much as I can.
The 1/43 scale is working out good. 3D printing all the cannons and men to scale. This is a photo of the officer cabins. And Yes, the paddle wheel is the correct size for 1/43 scale.
