I admire you having removed and hidden the hole left by the original HengLong antenna.

The two unmounted command antennae look like something out of "The War of the Worlds" ready to walk across the countryside zapping everything in sight!

Very nice. Just the right amount of weathering.
You don’t get wiser as you get older. You just run out of stupid things to do.

Nice work. Looking good . What process did you use for your chipping and what paint did you use on your tow cables.

Hi John,
I used tamiya xf black as base on cables then dry brushed tamiya gun metal lightly over the top pulling out the cable detail. Then I did an enamel rust wash using mig ammo light rust.
I’ve actually done a lot more work on KT applying a lot more rust detail and believe it or not this is my first real build using these rust and chip techniques.

Re: King Tiger 323 - Ready For War
Thanks Dr, the Heng Long antenna wasn’t actually doing anything and didn’t look historically correct so it had to go.
The command antennas do look war of worlds ish

Just started painting commander and loader once tank and crew are finished I’ll re-post.

Re: King Tiger 323 - Ready For War
I used a 0.8mm drill to form holes for cable insertion on commander and loader headphones.
I managed to obtain some 0.75mm cable in red
