Total accuracy is not necessary for this fun exercise. Rivet counters can look away. However I have found a suitable cab on evil bay, but the seller is English and will not ship to Scotland.

I’m not even going to ask why you considered this a good idea.

Today was the day I made the decision to cut the chassis. I guess the warranty is now invalidated? Surprisingly the chassis takes Revell Contactum glue. No going back now.

Then the first of the track of the front wheels was widened.

The MAN prime mover is moving along. Waiting on new tyres, and wheel weights. Cab is on, WPL electronics fitted. Lights to be installed.

The Scania cab should arrive this week. It has been stuck 2 miles away on the other side of the Clyde, as the bloke wouldn’t ship it to our side of the river. Shmuck.

More work on the 8 wheel tank transporter. Scania Cab has arrived and has been trial fitted. Next job is to widen the mudguards, and refix them in place.

Then it is the toolboxes, which will also be the battery box, and air tanks behind the cab.

Terrific tractor, nothing like we have in the States, but really cool.

The first pair of back wheels have been cut down, so front wheel tyres can be fitted given a narrower rear track. They need a bit more trimming so they are the width as the front. Trying to duel the back wheels as suppled made them far too wide. Only 6 more pairs to do.

You have courage, Ian: I am always afraid to attack with the Dremel.

Managed to get some work done on both transporters. The MAN is 96% finished. Need to paint some of the details, do the steps above the winch and make handrails, install lights, do some touching in of the paint, fit rollers to the trailer for the winch behind the cab, fit amber roof beacons, and work out how to operate the trailer ramps.

The large transporter is also progressing. This needs mudguards widening, lights, paint needs finishing on both the trailers ran out again.

Ver nice work on both outfits Ian, although I shouldn't want to be paying for tyres on that Scanni's trailer in real life if they didn't steer! You'll need every horse the V8 puts out to jacknife that beauty
