I feel your pain! At the aircraft museum where I volunteer as a tour guide, we have a Wright Cyclone R3350 cutaway like this one.



I always make a point to stop beside it and point out it has 2 spark plugs, 2 pushrods, 2 valves, 2 rockers, a piston and a conrod per cylider and there are 18 cylinders per engine (mutliply by 4 for our Lockheed Super Constellation). So many reciprocating parts! No wonder they need so much maintenance.
