Good Afternoon!
I love Tea in a tall glass with lots of ice! I still remember the bemused looks from wait staff in various fine dining establishments all over Great Britain when I would ask for Tea this way. I did get it a couple of times but usually made due with Diet Coke (which was sweeter than the Diet Coke over here...weird) (and don't get me started on the near Brawl that was instigated at a small Fish n Chips shop on the way to Bovington when I asked the owner where the Restroom was...) "What! Yer inna Restaurant!"
regards,
Painless

Painlesswolf.I can relate to that and what different expressions mean in different countries .Back in 1986 I arrived in Enid ,Oklahoma for a three month stay in the U.S.A .It turned out to be nearly a year and a half. Got settled ,found a bar and was meeting a very nice man[Brent] the next morning. Brent arrived, drove me out to his farm and introduced me to his wife. teenage daughters ,best friend and his family and Brent asked me in front off every body what did I get up to the previous night. I casually said I got a bit pissed. Brent immediately became unhappy and said to me .We don't cuss in front of the women.

Where I come from pissed means drunk. Took some apology and explaining.
