So the TK-SWB just takes normal servo plugs as input and runs off of a 5v.

Put the TK-SWB in the turret

Power: Supply what I am guessing is 5v to the power plug on the TK-SWB. You could probably do this by running CN5 through the slip ring to the turret.

For barrel elevation: run a servo plug from CH2 through the slip ring to the outer servo plug on the left side of the unit. Plug your elevation servo into the inside servo olug on the right side.

For turret rotation: this may or may not work. Because they made the turret rotation input on the TK-SWB a servo plug instead of a motor plug, you would have to try getting a small ESC to plug CN3 into. You can either do this before or after the slip ring, but because the stabilization unit is in the turret, it will have to go through the slip ring.

Plug the ESC into the inner servo plug on the left side. On the right side there is a turret rotation motor plug. You will have to run these two wires back through the slip ring and to the turret rotation motor.

However, if the turret rotation input is expecting a servo instead of an ESC, this will not work with the TK7.1, but you will still have barrel stabilization, which is pretty cool.

Because the ElMod diagram has it plugging into a servo (not ESC) plug, I am inclined to think using an ESC with the TK7.1 turret rotation output (CN3) is not going to work.

Disclaimer: while I have these components, I have not done this. The fact that you can run servo outputs from the ElMod expansion board to the TK-SWB servo inputs leads me to believe the TK-SWB is universal as long as you have servo outputs for elevation and traverse. You could even do this with a regular PWM receiver, I would think.

The more I think about it I doubt you will be able to get turret rotation stabilization to work with the TK7.1, but it would be cheap to try, and won’t hurt anything, it just won’t work, or will act weird.
