This word is slang - ten rubles, once there were gold coins under the Tsar made of red gold of the highest standard. Then paper banknotes were issued until 1991 and they were red, so the name Chervonets stuck

You got me puzzled, too, Pavel: Червонец comes up as "Chevronet" or "wormwood" in DeepL and as "Chevronet" in Google translate. And Государственный гимн comes up as "National Anthem of..." Are we getting something mixed up?
