Herr Doctor, I did learn some German while in Heilbronn but have forgot most of it. If you don't use it, you lose it.

Meanwhile I tested the Panzer III chassis and it gets a pass although the poly tracks are not the best as sitting in the box for 54 years, they are a bit deformed but still just work. I will look into some ITL tracks for this Panzer.

More testing now to make sure the tracks don't bind or rub anything on the upper hull. You can see some of that track deformity on the lower right track in this picture.

A little bit off topic discussion about the M-26 tank retriever then back to the Panzer III M\N build.

Here is the video i said I would post earlier in this thread. It shows the M-26 hauling around a Panzer III L :D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9uDhTe6dP3s

This new Panzer III I an building in this thread is a "M" version so its one level higher then the old Panzer "L" series. One of the changes in the "M" series is the wider tracks with revised drive sprockets.

It can be be built as a M or N so this kit is a Panzer III M\N.

This is a view of the hand made metal front end under this M-26. I used to run this truck outside back when I lived in Tucson AZ. To run there, I needed a 4WD rear dually axle with wider front tires. I just changed the rims today to the stock width military front wheels as I no longer run it outside. In the video you can see the older white front rims inner rim extensions as the truck is coming towards the camera. Those extenders have been removed and are now back to stock width as seen in the first picture above. Yes that is an extra long servo horn to give me a tight turning radius as required for my indoor track.

4WD dually dual axles made of steel. Hand made just for this truck. I would not have the patience to build one today. This gearbox\axles were built in 1983. The front suspension on this truck is handmade as well and is also all metal. I built stuff HD back then lol. After looking at this picture, I may have to redo that taillight.

Here is why it took so long to do a video. Red wire is broken. The other wire has a solid wire going to the metal frame and the frame of the motor. This eliminates electrical noise from the moving metal parts which can cause RF glitches in receivers.

micro 250 mAh 2s wiring harness. With that removed, the chassis wiring looks a bit more resonable.

This chassis could be used for a 10 wheeled military cargo truck. Shown here with a 350 mAh 2s lipo.

After 42 years, your truck runs better than most! A move from Arizona to Ohio, however, does cramp one's style. I am reminded of my own Christmas train layout: around and around in a oval. But mine lacked the flashing receiver light in the front---or any light for that matter. :haha:

Yes Herr Doctor, my indoor track is a vestige of the model train days. As kids we spent countless hours on these tracks going round and round  U.S Army Sergeant Kowalski (Fort Carson Colorado), a good friend of my Dad, built a 4x8 rural diorama with a train track and 2 lane slot car track with a railroad crossing with flashing lights 8) for my brother and myself as a Christmas gift (1965). Needless to say we had many hours of fun with that gift. These days my indoor track is for small scale R\C models as a test and video track that is clean and free of dirt and such as my wife does not like dirt in the house. I also have a outdoor track where I run RC Dozers and such..

Don't see this too often. Two RC Peerless MAX trucks, one hauling the other. The one in front has the factory stance which I think is too low in the front. The spare tire on these trucks is actually a motor on\off switch in the factory setup up. The truck in front has a 72 mHz ch 35 RC aircraft radio receiver that works perfect. These trucks had plastic wheels on the front and were changed over to rubber tires like on the rear axles.

Yes Herr Doctor, I was cleaning up the plant garden with the RC Dozer. That's what I call playing in the dirt RC :D

The Panzer III M is running very well. Track issues disappeared with the upper hull in place. This P-III M is superior in mobility to the previous P-III L build due to the poly tracks even though the the tracks are wider. Rubber tracks like on the P-III L are OK for outside running.

Here are a few short P-III-M videos

:P Your PzKfW III runs quite smoothly, although I wonder if at 0:47-0:49 you sneezed. https://youtu.be/iiq-nQGI-cE?t=47

Well, it looks that way Herr Doctor but actually the yaw axis (L\R turning) needs some expo as the motors in this tank are low voltage (~1.2 ohms) so they are very sensitive to yaw inputs. You might have noticed at one point the engines got up to full speed then shut down momentary due to LVC. The battery I used in this video is very old and small and I exceeded its capacity showing off the top speed ;)

250 mAh 45c (11 amps peak) but these are old and well used and no longer work in the Heli but still good for 1/35 scale tanks.

The batteries I am using come from a Nano S3 UM Heli.<br />The battery in this picture is fairly new and is very potent and will easily fly this Heli 7 minutes.
