And this is becoming a bit frustrating!
However, now its near enough I couldn't resist bunging a coat of Mr Surfacer 1000 Red Oxide over it.
Realised Im also out of German Grey so my plan for that is delayed as well :/
I have a tin of TS-4 but that stuff is not matt enough for me and its a bit strong to use any distressing tricks on it.
Got lots of fussy bits to paint pre assembly which will keep me off the streets for a while !!

Righto, now its getting betterer!!
Got the grey on, and the floor duck-boards in.
Seats and the folded roof canopy.
A lot of mud & a rough whitewash will hode the evils and give it a bit of character.
The windscreen is at a 50/50% to leave off & place stowage on the fuel tank cover, not sure.

Above all, BIx, do "hode the evils"! :D Like you, having gotten my economy build Challenger 2 running well and looking respectable (even if the clear coat hid the weathering too much), I am thinking about a static build. So I took out the Takom Ontos last night. YIKES! I see hundreds of hours of work there, and my WCP SdKFz 251 waits for.... Well, you get the idea. Still, some good ol' plastic work is appealing... Keep up the photos.

A wee bit of colour modulation and streaking, soon to be sealed & white washed.

Next time you take some pics, include one next to something for scale. Each time I look at the pictures in this thread it looks sixth, only the box that says sixteenth tells me otherwise. Terrific work Mr. Bix!

That should look pretty slick whitewashed!

If this is a legit kubel modification, somebody really needs to offer it in 1/16 3D. Hint, hint Meng!

NOW its where it should be!
Used a torn off bit of sponge held with tweezers to apply the washable Mig -0024 whitewash.
Got it good and messy, kept wetting the sponge to distress the finish in likely areas, and then a mud blend with all sorts to get a rough texture .
Finally hit with a session of Magic Grime-Winter to finish.
Same mud went onto the floor inside, and the grime tied it all in.
Onto the stowage for it next.
