I printed all the parts for the early VVSS and I'm quite pleased with the result.
I assembled one and it works great so far.

Sorry for the dusty parts, I didn't clean them up after sanding the printing support.
I think I'll need to redo the turn roller, the hole for the shaft wa snot big enough, I drilled it bigger but the edges shattered. Maybe I'll putty and sand it.

I'm almost done with the 3D pieces transmission final drive cover.
It's the very early type, with no bullet splash protecting the bolts. Maybe I'll design the other with bullet splash. I'm planning to use the 3 pieces transmission cover on several Sherman (and I also have a Priest in mind).

This is how I'm planning to make it work :

The great part is the geared motor, I ordered them, hopefully I chosed the right RPM :/

Those early VVSS parts would also suit an M3 Lee or Grant (although a few of the M3s did have the offset return roller). You probably know all that already. I applaud the gear that brings the final drive forward: it will add some reduction, and I like 'em "low and slow, mean and clean."

Thank you Professor. Yeah I know about the Lee/Grant but to be honest, they're not in my to do list, I don't like them very much. :D

Yes I add some reduction to the final shaft. The motor itself is 90 RPM. Let's see if that works, otherwise I'll higher or lower RPM ones. I do prefer slow with more torque tanks too (in particular for the WWII ones).
