Bullet connectors, they cost around 2 euros 100 pairs. They are solderless connectors, you need a crimping tool.(6-7 eur)
About the ESC I already answered you some months ago.
EDIT: that esc is not only overkill, (you need as little as 10A max) but useless, because it has no independent control of motors.

That is an epidemy and I am agraid I am infected as well, but sadly at a younger age.

Yep, Rad, I got the connectors and ESC via Amazon here in the U.S. We sure don't get the choices you get in Europe and the UK, although there are lots of sellers of those ESCs. I could have used aliexpress, but I have (foolishly?) bought Amazon Prime for years, so I use it when I can.

I am going to replace the HengLong TK5.3 in my Challenger with a TK7.0. The 2015 original was upgraded to metal tracks, idlers, sprockets, motors. My tanks rarely run anywhere but on the concrete basement floor or the carpet in the living room. (We widowers can get away with it.) So the question (ahem, Meter rat) is:
do I need to replace the motors, or can I simply change out to bullet connectors and connect them to the TK7.0?

Added Prattle: Even though I immediately test every RTR tank, now I discovered that the turret does not rotate, nor did the smoke unit work (no surprise). A lot of testing of the wiring, connections, etc., etc., etc. this that and the other way today demonstrated that the turret rotation drive simply would not work, even when powered directly at 6 or 7.2 volts. But after opening the rotation unit, checking all the gearing, and extracting the motor, I got the motor to run on 6 volts.
I will be replacing the rotation unit anyway.

Changing the plugs will be enough. I would be more worried about the zinc gears but if it is a carpet runner then there should be no problems.

Thank your Meter rat and Kaczor. I won't worry about the zinc gears. Trouble will likely not happen unless there is zinc rot (always a possibility if the original alloy was not correctly made). Then I can replace them.

The HengLong Challenger 2 I am converting from TK5.3 to TK7.0 does have metal gears-proved by a magnet right to the gears themselves. Yippie!
I have converted the wiring to the switch and motors to bullet connectors so these connect fine to the TK7.0.
Now I have what seems to be a misfit of JST connectors.
1) The turret rotation and cannon elevation use JST-2, for which the TK7.0 has (what appear to be) suitable identified ports (i.e. the male JST connection).
2) There are two JST-3 connectors from the BB unit; there is/are no corresponding ports(s) for these JST-3 on the TK7.0.
3) There is a multiple JST connector to a daughterboard attached to the underside of the upper hull, apparently for headlights/taillights, perhaps more. There there is/are no corresponding ports(s) for this multiple JST on the TK7.0. I have three different diagrams for the TK7.0 (some also with TK7.1). Here is my questions:
What are the ports (JST male) on the TK7.0 for the two JST-3 connectors #2? Will these two JST-3s need to be changed to JST 2 connectors?
What are the ports (JST male) on the TK7.0 for the multiple JST #3? Will this multiple JST have to be changed to multiple separate connectors? Or do these two JST-3 connectors go to the daughterboard on the underside of the hull adjacent to the turret rotation motor unit?
